Most of my time in Japan I spent in Tokyo. Of course, it doesnīt mean that I was walking through the city for the whole three weeks. I was in a lab for a week, from monday to friday and as is typical for proper Japanese, from early morning to late evening. Sometimes I succeeded in going out somewhere beyond the boundary of Musashi-sakai, for example in the afternoon (or more evening), when I had not so much work. We went through the main parts of Tokyo together with Konosuke at the first weekend of my stay in Japan. The following days, I traveled alone. And surprisingly I became able myself to orient in the local clever traffic, which seemed absolutely impossible in the beginning.
  Tokyo is a neverending city, full of skyscrapers and Japanese. There are more than 12 milion inhabitans now (not including the suburts).
  One of the districts is called Shinjuku. Here is located the metropolitan building (city hall), where you can be brought to the top for a free and see Tokyo from above. In the evening this district becomes a place lighted by many many neon signs and with overcrowded streets full of people.
  The other interest of Tokyo is the Tsukiji market. It is called the biggest fish market in the world. The market is open early in the morning and it is the only place in all Japan which has at least a little bit Asian face. Nevertheless, compare to markets of the other Asian countries, even here was unexpectaly clean and tidy. Thatīs are simply Japanese:-).
